Pillar’s company retreat in Ibiza: 5 days of connection, celebration and island life

Five days. Sixty people. One island.

What better way to bring a team together than five days in Ibiza?

In July 2026, 60 people from Pillar headed to the Balearic Islands for a company retreat designed to strengthen connections, celebrate together and enjoy some well-deserved time away from their everyday routines.

Their home for the week was a beautiful Mediterranean finca on the eastern side of the island, surrounded by citrus trees, lush gardens and peaceful countryside.

The plan? A little work, plenty of time together, and a proper taste of Ibiza.

A Mediterranean escape to reconnect

The goal was to bring the whole team together in a setting that felt completely different from the usual workplace.

Some time to realign, strengthen relationships and create shared memories beyond day-to-day work.

Ibiza offered the perfect balance: a laid-back Mediterranean atmosphere, beautiful natural surroundings and a nightlife scene that needs little introduction.

The team spent their days between moments of work, downtime by the pool and shared experiences across the island.

A finca in the heart of Ibiza

Forget traditional conference hotels.

Pillar’s retreat revolved around a charming countryside finca, with rustic Mediterranean architecture, outdoor pools and gardens filled with citrus trees.

It became the team’s gathering place throughout the stay.

Long lunches, dinners together, conversations in the garden and time to unwind in the sun. The kind of setting where colleagues can get to know each other beyond their roles and responsibilities.

And when it was time to leave the peaceful countryside behind, the island had plenty more to offer.

Boat parties, dinners and Ibiza after dark

This wasn’t a retreat where everyone spent five days sitting in meeting rooms.

One of the highlights was a boat party, bringing the team out onto the Mediterranean for music, drinks and an afternoon together at sea.

Back on land, shared dinners gave everyone another opportunity to catch up, while nights out at Ibiza’s famous clubs added a completely different energy to the experience.

From the relaxed atmosphere of the finca to the excitement of the island’s nightlife, the retreat combined different ways of spending time together.

Some moments were about slowing down. Others were about celebrating. All of them brought the team closer.

How we organised it

Always Friday organised the retreat: the finca on the east of the island, accommodation for 60 people, shared meals, the boat party and the nights out.

A dedicated event manager coordinated venue, suppliers and logistics as a single point of contact, with one invoice at the end.

More than just a trip to Ibiza

Five days away can do more than offer a change of scenery.

For Pillar, the retreat was an opportunity to bring 60 colleagues together, strengthen relationships and create memories that would last well beyond the flight home.
